The Wood County First Responders Association is accepting donations to help victims of the horrific flooding in the Kerr county area.

The Sound of the Swarm has offered up their equipment trucks and trailers for us to transport material donations to flood victims and first responders in the Kerr County area.

Please come help the WCFRA and friends fill the trailers on Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the MISD football field! Items in need are on the flyer. We are not accepting cash donations, you should vet any organization you feel led to give monetary support to.

What an unforgettable day we had at Iron Horse Square in Mineola on May 17, 2025! Families from all around came out to enjoy the charming mini train rides and the whimsical train-themed playground that kept kids laughing and playing all afternoon. A special shout-out to the amazing ladies of the Wood County Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society—your reading-themed activities were a huge hit and brought so much joy and learning to the little ones! The Mineola Police Department is actively participating in the statewide "Click It or Ticket" enforcement campaign. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is intensifying seat belt enforcement through its annual "Click It or Ticket" campaign, which runs from May 19 to June 1, 2025. This initiative coincides with the Memorial Day holiday, a peak travel period, and is part of the broader All-American enforcement campaign by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
